Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK or MSKCC) is a cancer treatment and research institution in New York City, founded in 1884 as the New York Cancer Hospital.

MSK has an extensive history of notable discoveries in cancer research. The research arm of MSK is still known as the Sloan Kettering Institute after the merger with Memorial Hospital. Memorial Hospital separately houses a number of laboratories. In 2011, a study ranked MSK third among public sector research institutes after the NIH and University of California system.
