Founded in 1995 by Dr. Zheng Wulou,the leader of overseas Chinese,and is affiliated to the Ministry of Health of Thailand. It is located in the Chinese Medicine Hospital of Baode Shantang, the most representative, largest and oldest charity organization in Thailand. Since its establishment 25 years ago, the hospital has always been adhering to the tenet of “Serving the people wholeheartedly”, using traditional Chinese medicine to care for the health of the Thai people、overseas Chinese in Thailand, and people from 113 countries around the world.It is reputed for its comprehensive yet specialized departments and rich clinical experience.
Huachiew TCM was selected as the China-Thailand Traditional Chinese Medicine Center, a special project for international cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China in 2018 and 2019. On May 29, 2020, it was awarded the honorary title of “Thailand Chinese Medicine Demonstration Unit” by the Thai Medicine and Alternative Medicine Department of the Ministry of Health of Thailand.
So far, there are 262 employees and 57 TCM physicians, of which 9% are doctoral degrees, 62.5% are master degrees, and 28.5% are bachelor degrees. Medical services include Chinese Internal medicine, acupuncture, orthopedics, massage, dermatology, and health care.
At present, the hospital has opened the Nakhon Ratchasima branch in Nakhon Ratchasima in the northeastern part of Thailand, and the Sriracha Hospital in Chonburi in the central part of Thailand, and built a professional Chinese medicine warehouse in Bangkok to store imported Chinese medicines. It has high-quality production capacity. The high-quality authentic medicinal materials supplied by the Chinese herbal medicine decoction piece factory in China have realized the management concept of “good medicine is prepared by good medicine”.
At the same time, there is a comprehensive learning center for Chinese herbal medicines in the warehouse to provide a platform for people interested in Chinese medicine in Thailand to learn Chinese herbal medicines. It also provides clinical practice bases for 6 college graduates with TCM departments in Thailand, and has become the acupuncture training center of various government agencies in Thailand. Up to now, more than 1,300 Chinese medicine intern students have completed internship training in the hospital. In 2019, Huachiew TCM had 200,000 outpatient visits throughout the year, delivering high-quality Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment services to tens of millions of people in Thailand.
