National Skin Center (NSC)

The National Skin Centre (NSC) is an outpatient specialist dermatological centre with a team of dermatologists who have the experience and expertise to treat all skin conditions. It handles a patient load of about 1,000 patients daily.

National Skin Centre started its operations on 1 November 1988 after taking over the treatment of skin diseases from Middle Road Hospital. This government-restructured institution is a subsidiary of the National Healthcare Group (NHG) and shares the NHG vision of “Adding years of healthy life”.

As a tertiary healthcare institution, National Skin Centre provides specialised dermatological services, trains medical students and postgraduates, and undertakes research in dermatology.

National Skin Centre also conducts Continuing Medical Education for doctors and paramedical personnel. Its researchers ensure that patient management is best tailored to the local population.

The NSC, located in the Novena district, specializes in skin problems, treating acne, eczema and hives, as well as skin cancer. It consists of a main clinic and 19 subspecialty clinics.
More than 10 specialized services are offered, allowing patients to be treated in the best possible conditions.
