Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University was founded in April 1984, and Beijing Institute of Heart, Lung& Blood Vessel Diseases was founded in September 1981, both by academician Wu Yingkai, the father of China’s thoracic and cardiovascular surgery. Being a joint medical research center, our hospital and institute involve medical, pedagogical, academic activities, preventive care, and international exchanges, functioning as a 3A comprehensive hospital with focus on heart, lung&blood vessel diseases. Beijing Anzhen Hospital is the No. 6 School of Clinical Medicine of Capital Medical University. It was one of the designated hospitals of the 29th Olympic Games.

With inclusive disciplines and distinctive specialties, the hospital has formed a comprehensive unity of disciplines focusing on cardiovasology. There are 9 clinical centers(cardiology center, cardiac surgery center, pediatric heart center, anesthesia center, cardiac surgery critical care center, emergency critical care center, gerontology center, vascular surgery center, heart transplantation and valvular surgery center), 30 clinical departments, and 11 medical technology departments. Beijing Anzhen Hospital gives full play to the cooperative strength of its key subjects and general subjects, and established chest pain center, maternal fetal consultation center, high-risk pregnant and lying-in woman group consultation center,sleep medical centerand precision medical center. All these efforts have provided excellent services to combined heart disease patients.

The hospital covers an area of 76,500 m², and 205,500 m² of medical care rooms. The fixed assets of the hospital is around 1.7 billion RMB, and the annual income of the hospital is over 4 billion RMB. There are now more than 4,000 employees, including over 600 senior professionals, and more than 900 professionals of medium level. There are 1,500 accommodated beds, including 211 intensive care beds, 31 laminar air flow operating rooms of class 100, class 1,000 and class 10,000, 13 catheterization laboratories ( including MSS ). Our hospital has PET/CT, cyclotron, DSCT，320-row CT and other advanced medical equipments, which provides excellent medical services for patients.
