Hospital San Carlos Foundation

From the 80 , the hospital begins its expansion in the provision of other health services. Since its foundation, the infrastructure of the hospital center has counted 

with 3 buildings, one of them consisting of eight floors, which was built by the firm Cuellar Serrano Gómez . In 1996 by decree 1.973 , the facilities were declared as national historical heritage .

During this same time it was given in concession to the ISS Social Security Institute using it under the name of Clínica Carlos E. Restrepo until mid-2008 when its liquidation of the concession with the government originated.

In the 90’s, services focused on specialized care for people with toxicological problems, in 1994 due to the economic crisis it was temporarily closed.

At present, the San Carlos Hospital Foundation  has been oriented in the provision of comprehensive services in highly complex health, levels I, II, III and IV, with a complete portfolio of services in surgical and non-surgical specialties, humanized care with high quality standards, large installed capacity, with special care for geriatric patients in the southeast of Bogotá, standing out as one of the broadest IPS and with the highest quality of care.
